BSKLab expands industrial AI research program
BSKLab is expanding its industrial AI research program and evolving three research areas to reflect where the field is heading.
What's expanding
The research program now covers eight lines of investigation: Industrial RAG, Manufacturing Knowledge Graphs, Industrial AI Agents, Local & Private AI, Industrial AI IOT, Physical AI, AI + Operational Excellence, and Semantic/Digital Twin.
Three evolutions
Predictive Manufacturing is becoming Industrial AI IOT. The work is moving from predictive models built on historical data to live industrial data, IIoT signals, and connected equipment.
Industrial Computer Vision and Autonomous Driving & Flying are becoming Physical AI. The scope is expanding from vision inspection to embodied, perception-driven AI for manufacturing.
Industrial Knowledge Capture is becoming Semantic / Digital Twin. Knowledge capture was the first step; the next phase is turning that captured know-how into structured semantic models and digital twins of the plant.
Why it matters
Each evolution follows the real direction of industrial AI. The published research notes will show the actual experiments behind each step — no hype, no promises, just what is being investigated and what we've learned.
